Join us for a spectacular trip in beautiful Andalusia and Sierra Nevada.

Based in two fantastic locations, Granada and Calahonda, on the coast, this trip gives you the best of two worlds. In Granada, we will be based at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains with long climbs on quiet roads and in Calahonda, we have the opportunity to explore coastal areas and ride into the quiet roads of the countryside away from the coast.

We are running this trip at the beginning of June to avoid the high temperatures that this region experiences later in the summer.

Besides the amazing riding, you can dream of perfect tapas, devine Rioja wine and fabulous, friendly towns and villages where we will stay and ride.

The riding will suit anyone who has done some training and enjoys riding in the mountains. You don’t need to be fast, as we have support in place to ride with you and we’ll also have a vehicle on the road to top up drinks and snacks. The second half of the week will not be entirely riding hilly routes as we intend to take you to some quiet stretches of coastal road as well as into the hills.

We will stay for the first 4 nights in the World Heritage City of Granada. If you haven’t been before, it’s a treat waiting to be discovered. It sits at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, which top out at 3400m.

The town has plenty of things to do when you aren’t on the bike, including, if you wish, a trip to the Alhambra Palace.

When we leave Granada, we’ll descend to the coast on an amazing road that was once a goat track! Now, it is a lovely well surfaced road that winds through the hills down towards the coast, where we we will spend the next 3 nights.

Our base will be in Calahonda, which may be familiar to some of you. It’s a coastal town and holiday resort, although quieter than some of the resorts further down the coast near Malaga.

You can be assured of some beautiful rides along the coast and into the hills and you won’t be disappointed with the accommodation that we have found for us to stay in.

A celebration banquet on our final Friday evening will be followed by transfers back to Malaga for the flights home.

This trip is for the more discerning cyclist that can see beyond the Alps or Dolomites and looks for different adventures on quiet roads elsewhere. You won’t be disappointed!

Most days we will cycle between 50 – 65 miles and climb on average 2000m each day. Options to take shorter flatter routes are available if you wish for an easier ride.

Our usual level of care and attention goes should go without saying. We want you to enjoy yourselves as much as possible.

Price includes hotels, breakfast and evening meal. Also transfers to and from Malaga airport and between hotels where required.

It includes a supporting vehicle to resupply on the road alongside a minimum of 2 outriders actually helping and guiding around the routes. They will also help with any minor mechanicals if needed.

What’s not included: flights, lunchtime food, energy products.
